The Shepparton Marathon was first held on 23 August 1998 with 13 finishers. Since then 22 editions have been run with steady growth throughout the years. Until 2013 the event was based out of the Princes Park club rooms of the Shepparton Runners Club. In 2013 the event was relocated to the centre of town, with the start and finish lines at the beautiful Victoria Park with the lake in the background. This led to tremendous event growth through to 2019.
Unfortunately the events of 2020 and 2021 weren't kind to us and the Shepparton Runners Club decided to pass the event on to Fit City Events ready for a re-launch in 2023.
